My passion for music was kindled early with violin lessons and participation in orchestras and choirs. As a young adult, I nurtured a fascination for tape loops, contact mics, and field recordings. For many years, I’ve continued to perform, compose and innovate, more recently finding my strongest voice as solo artist ‘Kassia Flux’.
During the past 3yrs, I’ve released two solo albums on Linear Obsessional, with a third album due for out later this year.
In 2019, I was commissioned by Musicity Global X to compose a geo-tagged sound work: I recorded the choir at St Barts the Great, and used electronic post-production to compose a piece about the resident ghost ‘Rahere’.
My music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction, BBC Radio 3’s Unclassified, Resonance FM, Radiophrenia and others.
In Jan 2019 I was selected for BBC Introducing ‘Ones to watch’ list.
I’ve performed live in London venues including Iklectik, Ivy House The Old Church in Stoke Newington, APT gallery, Beaconsfield Contemporary Art Gallery, and also venues in Berlin.
